Rationale:
​ I have included this artifact, Lesson Plan 1 Trade Book, because within the lesson plan, I have included accommodations for multiculturalism, ELL, and students with disabilities. Standard 7 states "The teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals" and to do this, lesson plans should incorporate different aspects to include every student.

Reflection
What does this artifact represent about me as a teacher?
This artifact demonstrates that I as an educator am ready to make adjustments where they are needed to make my classroom and lessons equitable for all students. This lesson plan shows that I have thought about the different type of students that I will most likely encounter in my classroom and an ready to accommodate them.

How does this artifact reflect my personal growth and strengths as a teacher?
Before I took the EDUC 224 course, I had little knowledge of adapting science instruction for students that may need it such as English Language Learners, students with physical or learning disabilities, or incorporating multiculturalism. Now, I have done research and learned how to make my classroom a place that all students can come and learn in the best way that they can.

What skills do I want to improve in relation to this standard?​
The skills that I want to improve with this standard will come with time because at this time, I do not have a lot of experience with students who need special accommodations. I will however feel more prepared and will be equipped to teach every student that comes into my classroom after taking this course.
