I have included this artifact, Disability Profiles, under Standard 2, Learning Differences, because it educates individuals about different disabilities they may encounter in the classroom. Reflection
What does this artifact represent about me as a teacher?
This artifact demonstrates that I am educated and am continuing to educate myself about different disabilities and needs that I will more than likely encounter in my classroom. It shows that I am learning not only about what these disabilities are, but resources for help and how to approach teaching an individual with a certain disability. This also shows my commitment to being a lifelong learner.

How does this artifact reflect my personal growth and strengths as a teacher?
Before I took the EDUC 230 course, I had very little knowledge of any disabilities or how to adapt a classroom to fit the needs of individuals with a disability. Now, I have done my own research not just to enlighten myself about what different disabilities may entail but also how to help adapt my classroom instruction to better fit the needs of those individuals.

What skills do I want to improve in relation to this standard?
The skills I want to improve in relation to this standard I know will come with time, because I have have very limited experience working with children with disabilities at this time, but just being able to put to action my plan to make my classroom a place where even an individual with a learning disability is able to learn just as effectively as any other student. I want everyone to feel included in my classroom, students and families alike, and be able to adapt to any situation I may encounter.
